H. J. EUSDEN, a native of England, was born in 1862 and arrived in Marne in 1889. He operated a well known general merchandise establishment for many years. Mr. Eusden was prominent in church and civic affairs. Mr. and Mrs. Eusden were the parents of two sons - Dr. Ralph Eusden, a former president of the American Medical Association and Ray Eusden, a prominent New York clergyman. After the death of his first wife, H. J. Eusden remarried and upon discontinuing business in Marne, moved to Grinnell, Iowa.
