Dear Friend: Your pretty and most welcome card received some days ago. I try to follow your advice but ah! it is hard. My foot is doing nicely but I still have to walk on crutches and it has been over two months. I have not been free from pain since I hurt it. But, it is better to be a cripple after all than to lose my foot. Write soon as I get lonesome. Marguerite C.
