The Stanley
Cemetery Association was organized 26 November, 1901, and three trustees
were elected to head the organization and locate ground for a cemetery.
Two years later they were in possession of the ground where the present
cemetery stands. Mrs. George Brooks (Charity) Lot 62, is believed to be
the first burial there, 6 August, 1903.
This is a quiet little cemetery situated between two small creeks that
cut it off from the farm ground on three sides and the road borders it
on the fourth side. Cars do not drive into or around this cemetery but
park in the parking space outside the fence
