SOULES PRIVATE CEMETERY BUFFALO TWP SECTION 5
This private cemetery lies west of the Chicago & Northwestern railroad tracks west of Stanley, Iowa, just south of the county line. Rose Brewer's cemetery records state that 2 stillborn Soules infants are buried here with no markers. Legend has it that the children buried here were relatives of the Soule family who came for a visit and died of a contagious disease during their visit. Sometime after their burial the railroad tracks were laid. (This info from Neva Pond).
