St. Michael's Cemetery
 

 At the Forks Settlement

This Cemetery is all that remains in the area. There used to be a church called St. Michaels (also known as the Forks Settlement). The church was built in built in 1905 according to a picture submitted by Margaret Childs. The first couple that was married there was  E.G. and Amanda (Fratzke) Westphal on April 28, 1908. Mr. & Mrs. Paul Fratzke were the last couple married there in 1921. The church was sold in 1931. The cemetery still remains in the same location, north of Jesup on V-62 going towards Fairbank. 

   We thank Gottlieb Westphal for donating the land for the church and August Kelm and August Horn for donating the land for the cemetery.
