Doris Irene Vosika died peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, surrounded by her family at Friendship Haven Terrace View in Fort Dodge.

Doris was born on October 23, 1923, in Vincent, Iowa to Arthur T. and Margaret Thompson and grew up in Vincent with her 10 siblings. Doris married John Vosika on March 11, 1944, in Des Moines. John and Doris made their home on their farm near Moorland, Iowa and raised their family there.

Doris is survived by her children: Joyce Treise of Fort Dodge, Gary Vosika of Moorland and Jane Johnson (Gary) and Julie Vosika Pawlosky of Des Moines, 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Greeting Doris in heaven are her husband John, son Jack and granddaughter Amanda as well as many other family members and friends.

Services will be 1:30 PM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Visitation for Doris will be from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Wednesday, at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A private burial service will follow at a later date.
