Russell Alan Williamson, 67, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Simpson Health Center in Fort Dodge.

Memorial services will be 11:30 AM on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Tompkins Celebration Center at Friendship Haven with Rev. Jennifer Osheim-Owen officiating. A time of gathering for family and friends will be from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Wednesday at the Tompkins Celebration Center. Burial will be in the North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Those that would like to wear Iowa State apparel to honor Russ are welcome to do so.

Russ is survived by his wife, Sue and their son, Scott Williamson and his fiancé, Leah Alexander and his 5 siblings, Julie (Don) Wilson, Pat (Randy) Lohmeier, Raymond (Jane) Williamson, Barbara (Mark) Jones, and Randy Williamson.

Russell “Russ” Williamson the son of Clarence and Margaret (Williams) Williamson was born August 18, 1954 in Fort Dodge and attended Eagle Grove Schools. Russ grew up on the family farm near Eagle Grove and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1972. On June 28, 1980, Russ was united in marriage to Suzanne Wyman. After their marriage the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Russ worked for Frigidaire in Webster City and later drove truck for White Storage and Transfer. At the time of his retirement Russ was driving semi for Royster Trucking.
