Mrs. Peter A. Larson, 70, a resident of this vicinity for half a century passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Otto Willey of Luverne on Wednesday, January 14th. Mrs. Larson had been an invalid for many years and since October 14th had been confined to her bed.

Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian Church here on Friday afternoon with the Rev. John Haupt in charge. Burial was made in the family lot at Glenwood Cemetery.

Obituary

Marie Magdalena Larson, daughter of Paul and Marie Damm, was born in Denmark on December 8, 1868, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Otto Willey of Luverne, Iowa, January 4, 1939, at the age of 70 years and 26 days. She was confirmed in the Danish Lutheran Church at the age of 14 years.

She came to America in 1888 with her brother, Nels Damm, who preceded her in death 18 years ago.

She spent most of her life in and around Goldfield. On April 26, 1891, she was united in marriage to Peter A. Larson, and to this union were born eight children, the two eldest sons and her husband preceded her in death.

She is survived by the following six children: Mrs. Benjamin Mullen of Klemme, Iowa; Mrs. Otto Willey of Luverne, Iowa; Will Larson of Corwith; Mrs. Jay Davis of Mason City; Mrs. Harold Christensen and Clarence Larson of Eagle Grove. There are also 16 grandchildren and one great grandson, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

She was bedfast at the home of her daughter since October 14th. There she received all necessary medical care besides many other loving services.

Being an invalid most of her life and unable to attend church she enjoyed her radio church services very much.
