John Edward Olson, son of Myrtle Bartzen Olson and Edward Olson was born November 9th, 1951, and passed away March 7th, 1955 at the young age of three years, three months and twenty six days. He was baptized in infancy by Rev. Warren Paige of the Epworth Methodist church, Fort Dodge.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mrs. Henry Olson and his grandfather, John Bartzen and four infant brothers and one infant sister. He is survived by his parents. Myrtle and Edwin Olson, his grandmother, Mrs. Caroline Bartzen and his grandfather, Henry Olson of Humboldt and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p. m. in the Methodist church, Rev. J. Howard Machlan in charge. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Viola Braden was organist. A vocal duet was sung by Misses Margaret and Nancy Whyte. Casket bearers were George Taylor, Jr., Dean Michelson, Fred Schnell, Jr., and Donald Smith, Jr. – The Goldfield Chronicle
