Funeral at Plainview for Former Resident

Funeral services for Richard August Kremeier, a former resident of this area, were conducted Sept. 3 at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview. The Rev. Martin Hoyer, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery.

Mr. Kremeier was born May 8, 1894 at Winnetoon and died Aug. 31 at Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the son of Heinrick and Mathilda Schuett Kremeier.

He was married to Selma Jurchen on Dec. 4, 1919 at Christ Lutheran Church at Bazile Mills. He farmed in the Creighton and Plainview area until 1956, when he moved to Ada, Minn. He retired about seven years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Kremeier had been visiting in the Plainview and Creighton area and had made plans to move to Creighton. Enroute home they visited at the home of their son, Lawrence and family. He became ill and was taken to a Fort Dodge hospital, where he died.

Surviving are his widow and son; three grandchildren; two brothers, Edward of Winnetoon and Fred of Redondo Beach, Calif. and a sister, Mrs. John Kumm of Creighton.
