Rex Harold Woodley
November 3, 1933 ---- December 6, 1999

Rex Harold Woodley was born on November 3, 1933, at Mercer, Mo., to Rollo and Elsie Barber Woodley. He was united in marriage to Connie Bloom on May 21, 1955, at Mercer. The couple made their home in Mercer until moving to Goldfield, Iowa, in February of 1957. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and refinishing furniture.

Rex Harold Woodley died [December 6, 1999] at home in Goldfield, at the age of 66. He is survived by five children Richard Woodley and wife, Kerrie, Laurens, Iowa, Gary Ray Woodley, and wife Phyllis of Jefferson, Iowa, Edward Woodley, and wife Sharon, Vincent, Iowa, Judith Ann Slobodnik, and husband, Stephen, Mt. Pleasant; Iowa, and Elberta Jean Woodley, Goldfield, Iowa; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Woodley, and wife, Rose, Nevada, Iowa; three sisters, Mabel Davis, Lenexa, Kan., Mary Seals, and husband, Cecly, Centerville. Iowa, and Shirley Snyder, and husband, Gary, Des Moines, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Connie, August 3, 1993; infant sister, Helen; and three brothers, Max, Dean, and Roy Lee.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 9, 1999, at 2 p.m. at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Burial was held in the Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield. Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
