Irvin Berg Tokheim
28 July 1916 --- 29 October 1994

Irvin Berg Tokheim, the son of Elias and Denna (Berg) Tokheim, was born in Humboldt County near Thor where he was educated and grew to adulthood. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Anderson December 6, 1941, at Thor. He served in the United States Army in Europe during World War II and after returning home operated the Thor-Hardy DX service station for 10 years. His wife died in 1956. He made his home in Thor. He married June Bohonek at Thor on June 27, 1959. He was a member of the Thor Lutheran Church. His wife died in December, 1989.

Irvin Tokheim died after an extended illness at the home of his step daughter, Judy Kerch, in Eagle Grove on the morning of October 29 at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his daughter, Maureen Locke of Eagle Grove; step daughters, Judy Kerch and Lynette Burger both of Eagle Grove; step son, Raymond Bohonek of Albert Lea, Minn.; 5 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; sisters, Winifred Opheim of Humboldt and Elizabeth Erickson of Dayton; brother, Charles Tokheim of Thor. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Marilyn and June; son David; brothers, James, Edward and Harry Tokheim.

Services for Irvin B. Tokheim were on October 31, 1994, at Thor Lutheran Church in Thor, Iowa. Interment was in East Ullensvang Cemetery in Thor. Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt was in charge of arrangements.
