Bert J. Toresdahl
11 October 1884 --- 29 March 1961

Bert J. Toresdahl died at Lutheran hospital March 29 at the age of 76. Funeral services were held at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kenneth Torvik, Pastor, Saturday at 2:00, with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kastler Funeral Home in charge.

Bert was born to Ole and Anna Toresdahl at Vats, Norway, Oct. 11, 1884 where he was also baptized and confirmed in his Christian faith. He came to the United States and Eagle Grove in 1903 where he farmed until his retirement in 1949.

Dec. 30, 1916 he married Ida Berg of Eagle Grove.

Survived by his wife and two sons, Ovid of Webster City and Kenneth of Hardy and 2 grandchildren. Two half-brothers, Carl Watne of Des Moines, and Sven Watne of Radcliffe and two half-sisters in Norway and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marie.
