William Eugene Johnston, the son of Francis “Buck” Dale and Patricia Ann (Davis) Johnston, was born on June 16, 1949, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove graduating from Eagle Grove High School with the “Class of 1967”.

William was an avid coin collector.

William passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021, at the age of 71 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fredrick Johnston.

Survivors include his nephew, Phillip R. Johnston and wife Leslie; niece, Shelby McLaughlin and husband Corey and two great-nephews, Xander and Elliot.

Services are pending.
