Word has been received here of the death of Miss Mary Worra, at her home in Madison, Minnesota. The remains were laid to rest at the cemetery near Holmes. She was formerly a resident of this city.

Many from this vicinity attended the funeral of Miss Mary Worra at Holmes Saturday. Miss Worra died with consumption at Madison, Minn., and the remains were brought here to be placed beside the mother, who died four years ago.

Miss Worra grew to womanhood here having moved to Madison with her father and sisters two years ago. The family have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in the sad loss of so dear a daughter and sister. We hope the day is not far distant when the awful scourge of consumption may be eliminated from our country.

Miss Mary E. Worra, a former resident of Holmes, died at the home of her father, H. Worra, near Madison, Minn., Thursday of last week, consumption being the fatal malady with which she was afflicted. She had been seriously ill for about four months previous to her death, but had not enjoyed good health for some years past. The remains were brought to Holmes for burial in the Norwegian Lutheran cemetery, services being held Saturday afternoon by Rev. O. Sletten of Eagle Grove.

Deceased was past twenty-two years of age. She was well known in the vicinity of Holmes, where she lived for many years previous to her removal to Minnesota.

The following relatives from other places attended the funeral with the exception of the two last named, who did not arrive in time. H. Worra, the father, of Madison, Minn., A. Worra of Estherville, Martin Knutson of Dolliver, Wm. Worra and daughter of Highland, Minn.

Mr. H. Worra came down from Madison Minnesota Friday evening bringing with him the remains of his daughter Mary, who died Thursday morning of consumption. Miss Worra was well known here having lived in this vicinity since childhood until two years ago when she went with her father to Minnesota.

A large congregation attended the funeral services which were conducted by Rev. Sletten of Eagle Grove at the Lutheran church, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery south of town.

Miss Worra was twenty-two years old and loved and respected by all who knew her. The relatives have the sympathy of this entire community in their bereavement.
