Barbara Jane (Kelly) Primrose
May 16, 1934 ---- September 11, 2020

Barbara Jane Kelly Primrose, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 11, 2020, at her home in Idaho Falls.

Barbara was born May 16, 1934, in Denver, Colorado, to Clyde James Kelly and Mary Maxine Beauchamp Kelly. She grew up and attended schools in Denver, Colorado; Des Moines and Eagle Grove, Iowa; and Custer, South Dakota. She graduated from Custer High School. She also attended Open Bible College in Des Moines, Iowa, where she met her husband.

On August 19, 1955, she married Robert Primrose in Galesburg, Illinois. Barbara and Bob made their home in a number of places over the years—Illinois, Colorado, Oregon, Iowa, Oklahoma, Kenya, North Carolina, Wyoming and Idaho. Barbara worked as a secretary, office manager budget officer for various ministries and businesses, including a Christian children’s magazine, a couple of banks, as well as her church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Barbara and Bob served as missionaries in Kenya for fourteen years. While there she worked for nine years as a Liaison Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi. At home, she raised three children to responsible adulthood, Tamra, Robin, and Heather. She was a member of Christ Community Church in Idaho Falls.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Bob Primrose of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Tamra Laine Skarda of Archdale, NC; son, Robin Lynn Primrose of Conway, SC; daughter, Heather Dawn Fahnestock of Idaho Falls, ID; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Barbara departed this life in her sleep in the early morning of Friday, September 11, 2020, with her husband by her side. She has fought the good fight, she has finished her course, she has kept the faith.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2020, at Christ Community Church, 5742 South 5th West (Park Road) in Idaho Falls. A private family viewing will be held Sunday.
