Helen Anna (Anderson) Busick, age 91, of Clarion passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond. Memorial services for Helen Busick will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM at First Lutheran Church, 420 First Street Northwest in Clarion. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. A memorial visitation will be held prior to services at the church on Saturday, October 6, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Memorial contributions may be directed to First Lutheran Church in Clarion.

Helen was born May 27, 1927, on the family farm near Holmes, Iowa. She was the daughter of Charles F. Anderson and Anna (Thompson) Anderson. She attended school in Holmes and Clarion. She was united in marriage to Berdell Busick on December 15, 1944. They started farming near Belmond, Iowa. In 1956, they moved to a farm near Clarion. Helen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church while living near Belmond and transferred her membership to First Lutheran church in Clarion in 1956.

Helen worked many years at Karen’s Style Shop and the Fashionette. She enjoyed cross stitching and caring for her flowers. Helen was dedicated to her family and her husband of more than fifty years. Her son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought joy to her life.

Helen is survived by her son, Stan Busick, and Stan’s wife Martha, of Clarion; four grandchildren: Matt Busick and wife Betsy of Des Moines, Melissa (Busick) Sandler and husband Ian of Laguna Beach, California, Michael Busick and wife Megan of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Dax Streater and wife Valerie of Austin, Texas; six great-grandchildren: Elena and Anika Busick of Des Moines, Avery and Amelia Busick of Raleigh, and Hannah and Paisley Streater of Austin; one sister, Ruth (Anderson) Lamfers of Salina, Kansas; three sisters-in-law: Sharon Anderson of Independence, Iowa, Julie Templeton of Mason City, Iowa, and Sylvia Hardwick of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Berdell; her parents; and five sisters and five brothers.
