SERVICES THURSDAY FOR DONALD THIELEN

Services for Donald N. Thielen will be held Thursday, June 23, 1988, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair, Nebraska at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Thielen passed away Monday at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. He was born April 8, 1926 at Webster City, IA to Peter and Barbara Schlader Thielen. He graduated from Williams, IA High School and served in the Navy during World War II. He married Betty Crise on April 8, 1953 in Des Moines. He worked for Williams Pipeline for 40 years in Des Moines and Minneapolis before moving to Blair in 1972. He was a member of the Blair American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Blair. Children James of Minneapolis, Larry of Blair, Connie of Lincoln, and Kris of Blair. Also surviving are sisters, Helen Uthe of Los Angeles; Christina Thielen of Eagle Grove, IA; Irene Holdgrapher of Elkhart, IN; and Eva Morson of Kasson, MN. One brother survives, Edward Thielen of Humboldt, IA. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Myrtle Thielen of Elkhart, IN. Pallbearers are Mitchell Rahlfs, Lowell Root, Donald Nicola, Elmer Jesperson, Al Birnley, and Donald Bryan.
