SARAH (SALLY) PREHM
Sarah (Sally) Jeanette Knutson was born August 30, 1923, the daughter of Peter O. and Inga Larson Knutson in Humboldt County. She received her education in the Badger and Eagle Grove school systems. She was united in marriage to Charles Prehm of Eagle Grove on November 29, 1940 at Bethany, Mo. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Mason City for one year, before Mr. Prehm entered the service. Upon receiving his discharge in 1945, they made their home in Eagle Grove where they have lived since that time. She was a member of the Samuel Lutheran Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Sarah (Sally) Jeanette Prehm died at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, following a short illness. She had attained the age of 68 years, eight months, and one day. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ray, Percy and Olaf; and two sisters, Ione Grandgeorge and Ruth Friesth. She is survived by her husband, six sons, Larry, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Daniel, Las Vegas, Nev.; Scott, Denver, Colo.; David, New Hampton, Anthony, St Joseph, Mo.; and Robert, Clarinda; two daughters, Mrs. David (Peggy) Batcheller, Ft. Collins, Colo.; and Mrs. Rod (Kamilla) Porter of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Kermit Knutson, Eagle Grove; and a sister, Mrs Dean (Esther) Smith of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held May 4 at the Samuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Carlton Shaw officiating at the 1:30 p.m. services. Burial was held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Dodge. The Kastler-Babcock Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
