Roger A. "Butch" Davids, age 76, of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away June 6, 2018, at his home. Butch was born September 4, 1941, in Kanawha, Iowa, to the late Will and Irene (Boomgarden) Davids. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Butch was an inspector for the USDA until his retirement. He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Lea and Kimberly Salts; son, Rodney Davids, all of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Dillon, Nolan, Rachel, Brody and Craig; great-grandson, Tyson; former wife, Karen Davids, of Council Bluffs; brother, Jim (Anita) Davids, of Urbandale, Iowa; sisters, Ramona (Gene) Harkin, of Aplington, Iowa, Sue (Rev. Jack) Magness, of Beatrice, Neb., Doris Swenson, of Belmond, Iowa; nieces and nephews.

Funeral service, Wednesday, 3 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Interment, Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 11 a.m., in the Omaha National Cemetery, with military rites tendered by the Kanesville Riders Honor Guard. Visitation with the family, Wednesday, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. The family will direct memorials.
