Manda "Sue" Shehan, 73, of Eagle Grove, Iowa, died on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion, Iowa after a short battle with cancer. The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, December 9th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with a Rosary and Scripture service at 9:30 am.

Manda Sue (Jorgensen) Shehan was born on March 31, 1944 to Leonard and Irene Madge (Anderson) Jorgensen, in Carroll, Iowa. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1962 and received her Associates degree from Fort Dodge Community College in 1964. Sue was united in marriage to the love of her life, John Patrick Shehan, on January 15th 1966, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. They loved and supported each other every day of their lives.

In Sue's early years she modeled and was featured as "Miss Fort Dodge" and was featured in the magazine "Socialite of Fort Dodge". She worked for Town and Country Realty, she sang in A Cappella choirs, was in Sigma Alpha Phi and participated in musicals and plays as well as synchronized swimming while at Fort Dodge High.

In addition to being a loving and devoted wife and mother to their four children, Sue worked for Shopper's Supply, Eagle Grove Memorial Library and J & J Sports throughout the years. Sue and John looked forward to attending anything and everything that their children were involved in - showing pigs at the fair, 4-H, plays, musicals, and countless sporting events.

Once their children were grown, Sue and John turned a new chapter in life and began to enjoy grandkids!! They insisted on having Sean over a night each weekend, it was always a party at Grandmas and Grandpas. (Confetti and horns not uncommon) As the years went on she was able to enjoy a close relationship with all seven of her grandchildren. They loved attending ball games and then hearing the "replays" from the kids after the games were done

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Sue was an avid reader and enjoyed immensely her visits from Renee from the library delivering books when they became unable to go pick them out themselves. It was a stand out event for Sue to get to see the Chicago Cubs win the World Series!!!! She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for all of the years they lived in Eagle Grove.

Sue's family includes her three daughters: Kathy (Dennis) Eastin, Ankeny, IA, Erin (Terry) Halverson, Eagle Grove and Dr. Kelli (Dr. Lanny) Stiles, Missouri; one son: Patrick (Tabitha) Shehan. Ames, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Cale and Joel Eastin, Sean (Haley) Halverson and Nick Halverson, Grace Stiles (fiance Seth Brown), John Patrick "J.P." and Julia Shehan; and one younger brother David Jorgensen. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 51 years, John this last March 8th. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
