My husband's grandfather also was also an Iver Ringheim, ( but NOT yours). Ours was born in Voss Norway in 1826; then he & family emigrated on the "Fido" in 1866, landing in Minnesota. The 1900 Census lists 3 generations of farmers settling in Watonwan County-St. James, Minnesota. Several branches of ours trekked into N. Dakota; up into Canada through the Cypress Hills; into Alberta, with many of our branch moving into B.C. Creston is where I still reside. Ran across a G. Ringheim in northern Mn-also not ours.
