Thomas Peterson Services Held Friday at Sion
Thomas Peterson, 82, farmed east of Lake Mills, died in his sleep at home Wednesday morning, Oct. 30. The Rev. Theo. Anderson conducted the funeral rites Friday afternoon at Sion Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Peterson was born Sept. 9, 1886 in Worth County on a farm south of Elk Creek Lutheran Church, east of Joice. He was a son of Peter and Ingrid (Brattrud) Peterson. He was baptized at the Elk Grove Synod Lutheran Church and confirmed at the Elk Creek Lutheran Church by the Rev. Pederson. His marriage to Josie Bergan, Jan 10, 1933, was at Northwood. They farmed in Worth County, living the last 30 years on the farm east of Lake Mills, where he died. They were members of Silver Lake Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters, he is survived by his widow, Josie, one sister, Mrs. Carl (Ida) Olson, Northwood; two grandchildren; two half sisters, Josephine Sether, Kensett, living on the home farm; Cora Sether, Manly, and one half brother, Clifford Sether, Osage.
