Susan E. Foster, age 61, of Edwardsville, Illinois, formerly of Iowa and Arizona, died Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Christian Hospital NE, in St. Louis, Missouri. Susan was a program analyst for Syllogistics in Chesterfield, Missouri, where she did contract work for the United States Department of Agriculture.
She was born Dec. 16, 1949, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of the late Dale Perry and Marie (Rabe) Perry Reese. She is survived by a daughter, Nicole Hudson and her husband, Scott, of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Abigail, Charlotte, and Foster Hudson; one brother, Stephen Perry of Mason City, Iowa; two sisters, Vicki Brewster and husband, Don of Cloquet, Minnesota, and Terri Colby and her husband, Dave, of Edwardsville; two nieces, Hanna Theide of Cloquet and Naomi Bouts and husband Ben, of Twin Cities, Minnesota; two nephews, Philip Colby of Granite City and Dylan Colby of Edwardsville; a special friend, David Schoenleber of Edwardsville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Susan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville and the American Legion Auxiliary in Green Valley, Arizona. A memorial visitation was hel from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 600 Water Street, Edwardsville, Illinois and from 9 until 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov 7, 2011 at the church with Rev. John Shank and Pastor Marty Springer officiating. According to her wishes she was cremated and her ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Glen Ed Food Pantry. Weber & Rodney Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
