It is with great sadness that the family of Rodger Swartwood announces his passing at the age of 77, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Rodger Gale Swartwood, born January 12, 1941 in Northwood, Iowa, died Monday, April 30, 2018 in Kilgore, Texas.

He was raised in Northwood, Iowa, but moved to Texas where he worked and retired from doing what he loved, running big machinery. He then lived several years in Florida and was able to spend his final seven days in East Texas - a place where he had fond memories of his wife, children & grandchildren.

Memorial will be held at 4:00 on July 29th at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Manly, Iowa.
