Obituary--

Anna Marie Feley, age 95, of Northwood, Iowa, died Monday, February 20, 2018, at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Northwood, Iowa.

Anna was born December 22, 1922, in Bloomfield, Nebraska, to Herman and Emma (Soll) Dierks. Anna and her family moved to the Northwood area and attended school and church there.

She met Morris E. Feley, married, and through the years the two were very active in many avenues of employment from farming to cleaning houses, the Northwood State Bank, and working at the Northwood Lutheran Retirement Home for 27 years. Anna liked fixing hair and would help in her spare time with nursing home resident’s hair as well as making quilts with her church circle.

Anna was great with cooking and always upon a visit one couldn’t leave without a cup of coffee, brownie and cookie. She said her secret to great cookies was to stir them up at evening and bake in the morning.

Anna was preceded in death by: husband Morris; her parents, Herman and Emma Dierks; Brothers George, Paul, Norman, and Robert Dierks; a sister Mary Beane; sisters-in-law Marjory & Elaine Dierks; brother-in-law Jim Beane.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018 1:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church, 309 N 9th St., Northwood, Iowa, with Rev Judy Converse officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood.
