Rev. David Stove, soon to be pastor of Trinity Luth­eran church, of Northwood, was born at Bad Axe., Vernon county, Wis., Dec. 9, 1877. In the autumn of 1880 the family removed to a farm near Howard. S. D., where his boyhood was spent.

In the year 1895 he entered Augustana College at Can­ton, S. D. With the exception of one year spent in teach­ing he remained in this institution until June 1900, when he graduated from the academy. In Sept.. 1900, he en­tered the freshman class of St. Olafs College at Northfield, Minn., graduating therefrom with the class of 1904. The same year he entered United Church Seminary, at St. An­thony Park, Minn., graduating May 31st, 1907. He will be ordained on the 16th of June, 1907, at Northfield, Minn, and he will take charge of his work in Northwood on the 21st of July.
