Oscar Low, one of Northwood's successful merchants, was bom in Dodge county, Wis., on the 19th day of March 1867. In 1874 the family removed to Shell Rock township. Freeborn county, Minn., where the subject of this sketch grew up on a farm. In 1894 he came to Northwood where he engaged in clerking and as a machinery salesman. In 1898 he purchased the business of Holland & Lund and has the past nine years conducted the business at the same stand. He carries a good line of general merchandise, making a specialty of groceries and crockery.
Mr. Low was married at Mansfield, Minn.. Jan. 1st, 1898 to Miss Mamie Emerson.
