Iver Iverson Jr. county auditor of Worth county, was born in Silver Lake township. Worth county. on the 25th of January 1873. His early education was obtained in the country schools, which was later supplemented by a course at the Albert Lea Academy. In 1898 he entered the State University of Iowa. graduating from the college of liberal arts with the class of 1897.

In the spring of 1898 he was chosen cashier of the Emmons Bank, at Emmons, Minn. This position he retained until the autumn of 1900, when he resigned to accept the republican nomination for the office of auditor of Worth county. He was duly elected and assumed the duties of this office January 1, 1901. He has three times been re-elected and is now serving the first year of his fourth term. While comparisons are not in good taste it is not too much to say that Worth county never had a more capable and obliging official than Auditor Iverson. and we have often heard it remarked that when he leaves the auditor's office it will be voluntarily, as he could not be defeated.

Mr. Iverson was married in Northwood on the 21st day of January 1903, choosing as n helpmeet Miss Ellen Thompson, daughter of Merchant J. B. Thompson, of this city.
