DANBURY, Iowa- Michael D. Wessling, 34, of Danbury, died Monday at a Sioux City hospital of complications from an automobile accident in 1969 which left him a paraplegic.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary Catholic Church at Danbury. The Rev. Robert Thiele will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Carlson Frum Post 336, American Legion. The rosary will be recited at 8:15 p.m. today in the Walter Funeral Home at Mapleton.

Mr. Wessling was born Feb. 9, 1946, at Danbury and was a lifelong Danbury resident. He graduated from St. Mary High School in 1964. He served in the Army, stationed in Germany from 1965 to 1968. He worked as a mechanic in a service station in Danbury and at Cashway Lumber Co. at Omaha.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Cecelia Wessling of Danbury, with whom he resided; and two brothers, Roger of Danbury and Rollie of Riverside, Calif.
