Funeral services for Joe Waddell of Pierson were held at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon with Rev. John Burt in charge. The Masonic lodge conducted graveside services. Mr. Waddell was a former resident of this community. He died at his home Tuesday following ill health for some time. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Ethel Crowley of Pierson, and three sons, Ray of Mapleton, Clifford and Dale of Cleveland, Ohio, several grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
