LAWTON, Iowa-- Mrs. John Christiansen, 80, Lawton, died Wednesday in a Sioux City nursing home of a brief illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bethel Lutheran Church at Lawton. The Rev. Mark Buchhop will officiate. Burial will be in Banner Cemetery at Lawton.

There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.

Mrs. Christiansen, the former Frieda Rossow; was born Dec. 31, 1899, in Hanover Township, Crawford County.

She was married to Mr. Christiansen Jan. 28, 1920, at Midway, near Correctionville.

Mrs. Christiansen was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the LCMS.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, Alvin of Sioux City and Bill of Moville; four daughters, Mrs. Don (Adeline) Thomason and Mrs. Walter (Arlene) Schindler, both of Sioux City; Mrs. Jerald (Betty) Strickland of South Sioux City and Mrs. Elna Ruring of Lawton; 13 grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.
