Frank Thompson, 67, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 25, 1997, at his residence.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Ward J. Astin, pastor of Assembly of God in South Sioux City, officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will be in Logan Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Mr. Thompson was born February 12, 1930 in Union County, South Dakota, the son of Frank and Alma (Bates) Thompson. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1949.

He married Irene Jacobsen in June 1955. She died May 8, 1995, in Sioux City. He was employed with Burlington-Northern Railroad for 29 years.

Survivors include four brothers and their wives, William and Mary K. of Sioux City, Richard and Sally and Donald and Judy, all of Sacramento, California and David and Joann of Modesto, California; a sister, Marilyn Adolph of Sacramento; two sister-in-law, Anna Mae Marr of Sioux City and Lucille Brennan of Kirkland, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
