Helen Olney-Johnson, 85, of Sioux City died Tuesday 25, 1997 at a Sioux city hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home, with volunteer chaplain Marie Wheeler of the Cornerstone Faith Center officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. (Sabasta) Olney-Johnson was born September 25, 1912 in Brooklyn, New York. She moved with her family to Sioux City as an infant. She attended school in Sioux City.

She married Sidney R. Olney in 1942. He died in 1962. She married Ronald Johnson in 1979. He died in 1985. She had lived in California and returned to Sioux City in 1980. She was employed as a stock room manager with J.C. Penny Company.

Survivors include a sister, Olga Shpakowsky of Sioux City, two brothers, Tony Sabasta of Carson City, California and Walter Sabasta and his wife Dorothy of Sioux City; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe, a sister, Mary and a daughter, Delores Wood.

Pallbearers will be Steve, Mike and Tim Sabasta and Brennen Bulloch.
