Geneva Mae Speckhart, 82, of Sioux City died Monday, December 1, 1997 at the Casa de Paz Care Center following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. David Fechner, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Speckhart was born February 16, 1915, in Gettysburg, South Dakota, the daughter of Louis H. and Eltha C. (Manfull) Fuller. She graduated from Gettysburg High School and attended Nettleton Business Training College and Briar Cliff College. She was employed as a secretary with Cassler Electric.

She married Vernon G. Speckhart on October 1, 1958 in Sioux City.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and was a Lamplighter at the church. She did volunteer work in the youth department for the Sioux City Police Department.

Survivors include her husband, a daughter and her husband, Susan and Bruce Paradelas of Harvey, La., a son, Bruce of California, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
