Dies On Eve Of 75th Birthday

Nicholas Meisch Had Been a Resident Here For 46 Years

Nicholas Meisch, a resident of Sioux City for 46 years and employed at Worcester School for the past 16 years, died at his home, 2007 West Second Street, Saturday after an illness of six weeks of pneumonia.

Mr. Meisch, who would have been 75 years old today had he lived, was born in Luxemberg. On coming to the United States in 1880, he settled in Sioux City, where he engaged in the brick and stone business for 30 years. Since 1910 he had been employed in the schools. He returned to Luxemberg four years after his arrival here and was married, he and his bride returning to Sioux City to live.

Besides the widow, Mrs. Agnes Meisch. Mr. Meisch is survived by three children, Mrs. Marie Aeck, Mathew Meisch and Arthur Meisch of Sioux City.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning at St. Boniface Catholic Church in which parish Mr. Meisch had been an active member for many years.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Larkin’s undertaking establishment has charge of funeral arrangements.

Rites Today

Funeral services for Nicholas Meisch, a resident of Sioux City for 46 years and an employee at Worcester school for the past 16 years, who died of pneumonia Saturday, will be conducted at 9 o’clock this morning at St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Perasso Bros. undertaking establishment has charge of funeral arrangements.
