Hugh Robert Graham 1870 - 1939

Hugh Robert Graham, 69, of 1718 Isabella, died Friday in his home after a short illness. A retired farmer, Mr. Graham had resided here the last 16 years.

The Westcott-Doughty-Chandler Funeral Home is in charge.

Born in West Fairfield, Penn., February 28, 1870, Mr. Graham moved to Dakota County, Nebraska at the age of 23. He married Miss Tilla Bliven in Sioux City December 9, 1896. They lived on a Dakota County farm until his retirement. He was a member of the Mayflower Congregational Church and of the I.O.O.F. Lodge at Dakota City, Nebraska.

Surviving are his widow; two sons, Ray R. of Dakota and Paul H. of Sioux City; a daughter, Miss Florence Graham of Sioux City and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Hugh Robert Graham, 69, of 1718 Isabella, who died Friday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Mayflower Congregational Church, with Rev. W.W. Witt officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery under the direction of the Westcott-Doughty-Chandler Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Hugh Robert Graham, 69, of 1718 Isabella, who died Friday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Mayflower Congregational Church, with Rev. W.W. Witt officiating. Burial will in in Graceland Cemetery under the direction of the Westcott- Doughty-Chandler Funeral Home.

The body will be taken to the residence Monday morning, where it will remain until time for service.

Active pallbearers will include six nephews, Dr. James Graham, Fred R. Graham, Ralph Bliven, Erwin Bliven and Kenneth Bliven.

Honorary pallbearers will include O.W. Chase, W.A. Lindsay, T.W. Gribble, F.G. Kimberly, George Madsen, Bernard Boales, M.J. Foreshoe and H.H. Adair.
