Mrs. Earl Westadt 1899 - 1939

Mrs. Earl Westadt, 39, Akron, Iowa, former Sioux Cityan, died Sunday morning in a Sioux City hospital, after being ill with pneumonia a week.

Born December 3, 1899 in Decatur, Nebraska, Mrs. Westadt was married February 3, 1919, in Takamah, Nebraska. After marriage, she moved first to Randolph, Nebraska and then to Sioux City in 1921. The Westadt moved to Akron in 1934. Mrs. Westadt was a member of the Methodist Church in Akron.

Surviving are the widower and five children, Russell, Billy, Betty, Jerald and Burnice, all of Akron, her mother, Mrs. Joe Johnson, Sioux City, two brothers, Chris and Earl Buys, Sioux City and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Amick, Bronson, Iowa.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Akron Methodist Church with Rev. J. Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Akron Riverside Cemetery under the direction of W.Harry Christy’s Akron Funeral Home.

Funeral services were conducted at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Akron Methodist Church for Mrs. Earl Westadt, 39, of Akron, Iowa, former Sioux Cityan, who died Sunday, with Rev. J. Moore officiating. Burial was in the Akron Riverside Cemetery under the direction of W. Harry Christy’s Akron Funeral Home.
