Mrs. William Koberg 1876 - 1939

Mrs. William Koberg, 62, of 3820 Fifth Avenue, died in her home late Friday after a long illness.

Mrs. Koberg was born September 17, 1876 in Crawford County, Iowa. She was married to Mr. Koberg in Carroll, Iowa, February 18, 1903. The couple lived near Carroll eight years, in Denison about nine years, and came to Sioux City in 1910. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church and the Ladies Aid Society of that Church.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, Roberta, a student in Creighton University in Omaha, and Arlow, of Sioux City, a daughter, Miss Lillian Koberg, of Sioux City, three brothers, Charles Schumann of Manning, Iowa and John and Henry Schumann of West Side, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Fred Schrum and Mrs. John Martens of Manning, Mrs. Herman Fonken of Lake City, Iowa and Mrs. Jack Johannsen of Murdock, Nebraska and a grandson, John Arnold Koberg of Sioux City.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in Christy’s Morningside Funeral Home, with Rev. Frank G. Bean and Dr. H.E. Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Funeral services were conducted Monday in Christy’s Chapel in Morningside for Mrs. William Koberg, 64, who died Friday in her home, 3820 Fifth. Rev. Frank Bean officiated. Burial was in Graceland Park.
