Hornick, Iowa -- Wesley Miller Sr., 85, Hornick died Sunday at a Sioux City hospital, following a brief illness.

Services were Wednesday at the Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton. The Rev. Robert Peters officiated.

Burial was in West Fork Township Cemetery in Climbing Hill under the direction of the Berkemier Funeral Home of Sioux City.

Mr. Miller was born June 12, 1892 in Pottawattamie County. He married Nellie Wood in 1915. He married Ellen Mjoness October 15, 1941, in Anthon. She died in 1956.

Mr. Miller farmed at Climbing Hill for a number of years and moved to Hornick in 1962, when he retired.

Survivors include seven sons, Curtis and Mervin, both of Sioux City, Dick of Superior, Ariz., Dennis of Thornton, Colo., Merlin of Robertsdale, California and Orlin of Tacoma, Washington, five daughters, Mrs. Aleita Pelroy of Springfield, Oregon, Mrs. Rosa Pelroy of Albany, Oregon, Mrs. Orvetta James of Miami, Arizona, Mrs. Mary Palmer of Huron, S.D. and Mrs. Lillian Johnston of Ames; a brother, Earl of Oto, Mrs. Cora Fuller of Castro Valley, California, 38 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
