William Charles Willmott, son of John R. and Sarah Williams Willmott, was born January 15, 1877 near-Neola, Iowa and died July 21, 1964 at Oto, Iowa at the age of 87--years, six months, and six days.

The family resided near Neola until 1909 when they moved to South Dakota where he resided for five years. He then moved to Correctionville for one year, and then to Oto where he farmed and resided for the remainder of his life. Mr. Willmott was treasurer of Grant Township schools for a number of years. He was married to Lucy Welbourn on March 6, 1900 at Neola, Iowa.

Survivors include the widow, Lucy; three sons, John of Oto; Woodrow of Ralston, Nebr.; Charles of Wray, Colo.; four daughters Mrs. Grace Smith of Oto, Mrs. L. N (Florence) Sawin of Sioux City; Mrs. Maxine King of Bethel, Kans., Mrs. Fern Eberly of Panora, Iowa; nine grandchildren, 21 great -grandchildren and one brother, G. H. Willmott of Neola.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers, and his parents.

Services were held Friday, July 24, 1964 at the Walter Chapel in Anthon with Rev. Carl Jensen officiating.

Pallbearers were: Paul Paulsen, Floyd Scoles, Millard Allman, A. V Carman, Kenneth Stratton and Leo McDermott. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery under the direction of the Walter funeral Home.
