Death Claims Claude Brent

Claude G. Brent, 58, 1800 S. St. Aubin Street, a grocery store operator, died Monday at a hospital after an illness of several days.

Mr. Brent was born April 18, 1904 at Alton, Kansas. The last 14 years he owned and operated the Brent Supermarket in Morningside. Prior to that he managed a Council Oak Store, where he was employed about 18 years. He resided in Sioux City about 40 years.

He was graduated from Alton High School and attended Morningside College. He married Florence Baysinger February 8, 1932 in Sioux City. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include the widow, his father, John Brent of Pocahontas, Iowa, a brother, Donald of Pocahontas; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Aerman of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. Dorothy Philips of Laurens, Iowa and Mrs. Hallie Cook of Havelock, Iowa.

The body was taken to the Larkin Funeral Home.
