MOVILLE, Iowa -- Ella Marie Molstad, 82, of Moville died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 11 a.m. today at Moville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ed Frank officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.

Ella Marie was born Feb. 23, 1924, in Sioux City, to Clarence and Ella (Renkel) Davis. She grew up in rural Hubbard, Neb. and attended Wayne State College. She taught country school near Dakota City. She also worked at Morey's and Raymond's men's clothing stores in Sioux City.

She married Howard Molstad on Feb. 7, 1948. They made their home on a farm south of Moville for more than 50 years. They retired and moved into Moville.

She was a member of United Methodist Church. She was active in the farming, the Garden Club, United Methodist Women and did volunteer work. Her priority in life was her family.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Howard; a son and his wife, Donald and Sheila of Hinton, Iowa; two grandchildren and their spouses, Erik and Ann Molstad of Moville and Nora and Pat Ryan of Council Bluffs, Iowa; a brother, Leonard Davis; and two sisters, Irene Siebens and Arlene Bowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenneth; and a brother, Earl Davis.

Memorials in her name may be sent to the Siouxland Cancer Center.
