Mr. & Mrs. Morris G Metcalf-- 50th Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Morris G. Metcalf, Hornick, Iowa--Special: Mr. and Mrs. Morris G. Metcalf will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary here November 20 with open house from 2 to 5 p.m.

Mr. Metcalf was born near Harrison Valley, Pa., in 1868, and came to Iowa in 1890 to visit relatives. He decided to stay and later met Cleora Mae Wade of Onawa, Iowa, whom he married at Smithland in 1892.

After a year in the east, they returned to Iowa and settled near Holly Springs in 1894. They remained there until 1917. They farmed five years near Otto, Iowa, then moved to Hornick.

They have two living children, Homer E., living west of Climbing Hill, Iowa and Private Theodore W. serving with the armed forces.
