Frank Dahly Dies Suddenly.
A telegram came to Charles Dahly on Monday morning stating that his brother Frank W. Daly had died at his home at Northwood, N. D. There were no particulars as to the cause of death and it was not quite clear whether his demise occurred Saturday or Sunday night. Mr. Dahly visited Decorah about two months ago and at that time was in excellent health, and the absence of any intimation that he was ailing at this time made the news of his death a shock to his relatives. Mr. Dahly was born in Watertown, Wis., and came to Decorah when three years of age with his father. He grew to manhood here and learned the tinner’s trade, moving to Northwood, N. D., upwards of thirty years ago. He is survived by his wife and five children, his step-mother and brother, Mrs. B. O. Dahly and son Charles.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Mar. 20, 1855 and died Mar. 24, 1917. He is buried in the Northwood Cemetery. The name is spelled two different ways.
