Obituary.--On Tuesday, March 13th, 1917, at 4 o’clock p. m., occurred the death of Frank Boushka at his home in town. He was ailing for several months and the main cause of death was heart trouble. He was born at Bernatie, Europe, 78 years ago, January 3, coming to America when about 15 years of age, and settled on a farm near Protivin, where he lived until a few years ago, coming here to retire. In 1869 he was united in marriage to Miss Barbara Kolac at the St. Wenceslaus church at Spillville. To them were born 13 children,--Bohumil of near Chester, Theodore and George of near Protivin, Chas of near Conover, Stella, Mrs. Marachek, of Schley, Lizzie, Mrs. Slepichka of near Calmar, Emma, Mrs. Puffer, and Brabara, Mrs. Chas Phillips of near Conover, Four children,--John, Augustine, Mary and Frank, and one infant child preceded their father in death. The funeral took place Saturday, March 17th, at 10 o ‘clock at the St>.Wenceslaus church, Rev. Broz officiating. The floral tributes were beautiful. The pall bearers were Jas. Novak, joseph Puffer, John Boushka, Jerry Slepichka and Charles and Theodore BOushka. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Boushka and family have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone shows he was born Jan. 7, 1840 which does not agree with the above. It also shows his name spelled Bouska. It also shows his wife’s maiden name as Kolars and his daughters names’ are spelled Slebiska and Mrachek.
