OBITUARY.
JOHANNES WERNSEN
Johannes Wernsen, father of Mrs. S. H. Degre and Anton Wernsen of this city, died last Thursday at his home in Highland township, in his seventy-ninth year. Deceased was a native of Norway and came to American about sixty years ago. He is survived by his wife and five children, the other three beside Mrs. Degre and Anton being Victor Johnson of Burr Oak and John and Miss Agnette, who are at home. The funeral was held Tuesday.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Wernson. He was born Aug. 7, 1830 and died Feb. 20, 1908. He is buried in Waterloo Ridge Cemetery in Dorchester, IA.
