C. M. Merrill of Eau Claire, Wis., who brought the remains of his brother’s son to Decorah for burial, has remained over for a visit with {h}is father M. H. Merrill and other relatives.

Christmas will be a time of sadness in the home of William Merrill of St. Paul, the youngest son of M. H. Merrill of Decorah. On Monday the remains of his older boy, a lad of eight years, were brought here for burial, while Mrs. Merrill is dangerously ill from pneumonia in one of the St. Paul hospitals. The sympathy of many friends go out to the family in their affliction.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this is probably Darryl who was born in 1898. He is buried in Phelps Cemetery where M. H. Merrill is buried.
