DIED.

LANGLAND – At her home in Pleasant township Oct. 14th, MRS. MAGNE LANGLAND, aged 76 years and 11 months.

Mrs. Langland was born in Norway in 1816, and married in 1843. Five years later she came, with her husband, to this country, and settle in Dane Co., Wis. In 1853 the family came ot Iowa, and located on what has ever since been the family homestead, in Pleasant township. This made her one of the very earliest pioneers of that region.

Mrs. Langland was the mother of eight children – six boys and two girls, five of whom with her husband survive her. Three of the sons reside in Minnesota (Helge M. Langland being one of these) and one daughter lives at Red Cliff, Colo. All of them were present at the funeral of one whom they venerated as a faithful mother.
