--After so long an illness Hiram Wilson passed quietly away, last Tuesday, Aug. 15th. He was in his seventy-ninth year. For a number of years he has been troubled with spinal complaint, which grew worse this summer, and finally ended in death. The funeral was held at the M.E church, August 17th, Rev. Berry officiating. The interment was made at the Centennial burying ground.

WILSON – At his home in Frankville. Tuesday, Aug 15th, 1893, Hiram Wilson, aged 78 years, 8 months, 15 days.
Mr. Wilson was one of the oldest residents of Winnesheik county, having come here and lived in Frankville township since October, 1858. He was born in 1814 in St. Lawrence Co., N.Y., and was married to Miss Eva Kneeskern, of Oswego Co., N.Y., coming from there to Iowa. Two sons and two daughters survive him. The funeral services were held at the Frankville M.E. church, Rev. B.F. Berry officiating. Internment occurred at the Centennial cemetery.
